PDT’s Peace Dividend Marketplace – Afghanistan (PDM-A) is a frontline service for Afghan First policy implementation. The goal of the PDM-A project is to connect Afghan businesses with contracting opportunities from national and international buyers to promote private sector development and job creation.
PDT assists buyers that adhere to Afghan First local procurement principles by:
- Verifying local companies to validate their legitimacy,
- Listing business profiles of the verified companies on the Business Portal,
- Distributing tenders to Afghan-owned companies,
- Developing the capacity of local suppliers to bid on contracting opportunities,
- Providing business matchmaking reports that detail the capacity and past performance of local businesses.
