Peace Dividend Trust (PDT) is a non-profit organization that fosters and implements innovations in peace and humanitarian operations. Our goal is to make missions more efficient, effective and equitable, delivering a stronger peace and larger peace dividend.

Our Afghanistan Marketplace project connects international Buyers to Afghan Suppliers, helping to create jobs and inspire long-term economic growth in Afghanistan.

In Afghanistan PDT provides the following services:

• BuildingMarkets.org - A virtual marketplace that allows international Buyers and Afghan Suppliers to post and receive tender notices, research the Afghan economy, find local companies, and more.
• Business Development Services - PDT helps international buyers find specific goods and services in the Afghan marketplace.
• Market Information, Advocacy and Communications - PDT conducts research, identifies emerging opportunities and publishes information about the local market for buyers and suppliers.
• Tender Distribution Services - A one-stop shop for local businesses to access international tenders from key sources and receive technical assistance.
• Capacity Development - Procurement training sessions to help local businesses understand how to access, bid on and win tenders.

All of PDT's services are offered free of charge.

Since January 2006, PDT has facilitated contracts worth over $360 million to Afghan businesses.
